Lantana
The Lantana
Just like plants, people thrive in the right environment. Some plants, like grass or cacti, can grow almost anywhere. Others, like the Lantana, need just the right balance of sunlight and water. But when they get what they need, they bloom into some of the most beautiful plants in the field.
In the same way, some people are more sensitive to their surroundings. When placed in a warm, supportive, environment, they have the potential to flourish in extraordinary ways. At Lantana, it’s our mission to create that nurturing environment—a place where people can truly thrive.

How Our Current Approaches Fail
Sanne, a 27-year-old lawyer, experienced severe burnout after three years at a major Dutch law firm. She waited six months to receive therapy (CBT) once a week and antidepressants. However, she spent the rest of her week at home.
While sitting at home, she felt useless, incompetent, isolated, disconnected from others, and alienated from society. These are fundamental psychological needs that aren’t addressed in traditional care, which is often too individualistic, treating people in isolation from society.

Lantana: Doing Therapy Radically Differently

Lantana speeds up recovery significantly by offering therapy in a way that makes people feel useful, connected, competent, and valued, while working on personal skills.
Tackling societal issues: 5 people work on a societal project with a project leader, such as making the Amsterdam canals plastic-free or reducing loneliness among the elderly
Integrated Therapy: The project leader is a certified psychologist who integrates therapy directly into the project.
Adaptive projects: Projects are adapted to participants' energy levels and cognitive capabilities.
